Distiller Notes: 

"The name Kurayoshi originates from the phrase “kurashiyoshi” which translates to “good living” in English and is also the name of the city in which the distillery is located. Kurayoshi whiskies are a testament to the historic Japanese tradition of blending and aging sourced whiskies and are distinctly Japanese in profile. The sherry cask finish really sets this bottling apart for the standard 3 Year Kurayoshi expression." 

Tasting Notes: 

"The name of the actual distillery as well as the infamous line of Japanese whiskies from Matsui Shuzo, Kurayoshi originates from the phrase “kurashiyoshi” which translates to “good living” in English and is also the name of the city in which the distillery is located. This 100% malt whisky is blended and aged at least 3 years in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in sherry casks by Kurayoshi Distillery. Proofed with the famously soft ground waters of Tottori Prefecture’s Mount Daisen and bottled without additives or coloring, the sherry cask finish sets this apart for the standard 3 Year Kurayoshi expression. This whisky speaks of ripe berries and chocolate and is complemented by a hint of acidity reminiscent of lemongrass." 

Nose: "Balanced with berry, lemon grass, and dark chocolate. " 

Palate: "Citrus zest and field greens on the front palate with Sherry and young strawberries on the back." 

Finish: "Medium length and lightly tart." 

Alcohol: 43%
