"Plum Gekkeikan is made with the choicest plums from the world-renowned orchard in Wakayama in central Japan. In addition to its mild sweetness, this is characterized by its refreshing acidity with the fruity feel of the plum and deep tastes from fermentation.
Complex on the nose. Juicy sweet aromas of ripe peach and nectarine, tart ume plum, blackberry jam, baking spices, toasted almonds and marzipan. Honeyed sweetness with a smooth, slightly syrupy mouthfeel. More baking spices, brown sugar, ripe ume plum and marzipan, with a delectable tart acidity. Finish is long but not cloying. Leaves a sweet residue on the lips, yet the tart acid gives a surprisingly light and clean, refreshing finish."
