"The Bio Vio Pigato is a superbly classic example of the mst indigenous varietal of the region. From the Albenga subzone of the Western Riviera of Liguria, noted as the best for this grape and labelled as such, the Pigato from Bio Vio is a structural evolution of the Vermentino. Fuller bodied with slightly more fruit forwardness than its counterpart and capable of pairing with more structured seafood dishes as well as the classic "pasta al pesto". This classic Pigato is produced from vines at an average age of 30-40 and is 100% stainless steel, fermented using only native yeasts and organic viticultural practices. Limited amounts are produced each year."
