"The 2023 “Corcelette Cailloux” Vieilles Vignes from Mélanie and Daniel Bouland is another absolutely stellar young Morgon. The wine comes in at fourteen percent octane in this vintage and offers up a classically refined bouquet of black cherries, cassis, gamebird, dark, stony soil tones, a touch of currant leaf, woodsmoke, espresso and a hint of violets in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, beautifully soil-driven and endowed with a stunning core of perfectly ripe fruit, with buried tannins, seamless balance and great backend precision on the long and nascently complex finish. 2033-2075+."
