"The 2023 Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir is a wine defined by the wind. Cold ocean air is funneled through the coastal range, creating dramatic temperature shifts and intense growing conditions that forge a Pinot of remarkable depth. Sourced from four distinct vineyards—each with its own character and terroir—this wine is a blend of volcanic soils, biodynamic farming, and coastal influence. Layers of dark cherry, wild raspberry, and crushed violets are framed by a backbone of vibrant acidity and fine tannins, thanks to the slow ripening and thick-skinned berries shaped by the relentless Petaluma Gap winds. Aged in a thoughtful mix of oak for balance and complexity, this Pinot is an elegant yet powerful expression of its rugged origins. Pair it with herb-crusted lamb chops or roast beef with chimichurri for an unforgettable experience."
