"Malagousiá, originally from southwest Central Greece, has expanded its reach in recent decades, and produces a soft and gentle wine from the loamy soils of Sérres, on the border between Macedonia and Thrace. Made all in stainless steel, its minerality evokes rainwater on stones, accented by some pleasant herbaceousness and floral scents. Lisa Granik, MW, was struck by its purity, while NYC wine directors Karen Goceljak and Tina Vaughn remarked that it calls for seafood (scallops with fava beans or striped bass ceviche with chiles and lime)."
Winemaker Notes:
"This white wine has a yellow bright color. On the nose, it is a typical expression of the varietal, with an intense aromatic bouquet of exotic fruits, melon and peach. In the mouth it's well balanced with fresh ripe fruit flavors, good acidity, and a long finish."
