"This is also aromatically very pretty with its slightly more deeply pitched nose that combines notes of plum, dark cherry and spicy top notes. The delicious and equally vibrant medium weight flavors possess a refined but decidedly punchy mouthfeel, all wrapped in a chalky, firm and balanced finale. This is excellent and a wine that should amply repay mid-term keeping. *Burghound Outstanding*"

"The 2022 Volnay Village comprises of two small parcels totaling around half a hectare. Quite understated on the nose, this offers brambly red fruit, touches of wilted rose petals and hint of lavender. Quite expressive at this stage. The palate is medium-bodied with dark berry fruit, graphite and a pinch of black pepper. Quite a “serious” Volnay Village, not one I would come to seeking voluptuousness, but the structured finish suggests it will demand a couple of years in bottle."
