"The new País 2021 Bluepit was bottled later because Parra found the tannins needed a longer élevage. It comes from a special vineyard on granite soils from Ñipas. It fermented with full clusters in concrete and matured in neutral 500-liter oak barrels for two winters. It has strong notes of aromatic herbs and exotic spices, a slightly deeper color than Soulpit and a bit grittier (soul vs blues). With time in the glass, it becomes more austere and the palate has more grip; there's more austerity also. In fact, the wine was a kind of a Benjamin Button in the glass, getting younger and younger as time passed by... It has finesse like I've never seen before, transcending the variety. A new milestone in País! 1,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2023. It should develop nicely in bottle."
