"Vaccarèse is one of the rarest grapes in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, with just over 10 acres planted there. As far as we know, this is one of two vineyards in North America that grows this grape. We are thrilled to have an opportunity to explore and express this rare and unique variety. Our 2021 Old Oak Vaccarèse has rustic characteristics reminiscent of Mondeuse ... think violets, candied red fruit, pencil lead, and spice, all underscored by a vein of lively tannin."
