"This blackand blue-fruited “Cabernet with a cause” is named after Jerry Lohr’s late wife; a portion of its proceeds support the J. Lohr Touching Lives program, a partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Even-tempered yet plush and expressive, it offers complex notes of roasted coffee bean and a meaty quality on the mid-palate. Minerality comes through with grace on the powerful foundation."
"Extroverted, with blueberry, açaí berry and plum fruit flavors taking an assertive lead throughout, while warm cocoa, tobacco and licorice notes fill in through the finish. There's a polished feel overall. Drink now through 2028. Tasted twice, with consistent notes."
"With dense flavors of dried plum, currant and dark chocolate, this is a rich, rounded and fully ripe red. The oak is spicy in cinnamon and clove, with a lasting taste of vanilla. With its plush, sizable tannins, it would pair well with grilled steak."
