"Vivid red. Assertive raspberry, incense, spice cake and floral scents are complemented by building suggestions of cola and musky earth. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering appealingly sweet red fruit liqueur, lavender pastille and spice cake flavors that possess a compelling blend of depth and vivacity. Shows outstanding clarity and floral drive on a strikingly long finish that features velvety tannins and a hint of Chambord."
Winemaker Notes:
"As is true with the rest of our Cru 2015 bottlings, we see more focus and zest than was seen in the 2014’s. Plum, violet, forest floor and dried provencal herbs flows to more plum with raspberry coming in and finishing with medium weight, baking spices and a touch of cinnamon. In the 7 years since harvest–and 5 since bottling–this is starting to elongate on the palate and is approachable on day one and even better on day two."
