"Quite a dense mid purple. The bouquet is beautiful, correctly ripe fruit with an admirable finesse. There is a swell of dark raspberry fruit then a refined mid palate with slightly fresher red fruit, a little hint of spice and quite a long finish. Scaled down from the beauty of the 2019 but sharing the same exceptional qualities. Drink from 2026-2033."
"Once again, moderate reduction is sufficient to mask the fruit. There is a bit more succulence and refinement to the generous though still reasonably precise medium-bodied flavors that display good power on the moderately austere and more harmonious finale. Worth a look."

"The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Ruchots 1er Cru has a ripe and quite floral bouquet, mainly black fruit here, briary and a touch of peony. This has more finesse than the Chesaux. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy, ripe opening. Good depth, yet backward compared to others, with just a touch of orange rind and brown spices on the finish. Harmonious from start to finish, give this 4-5 years in bottle."
