"Very cool story here. Back when this was originally made, Francesco Carfagna felt the wine was unsellable, largely due to the amount of volatile acidity in it. That same year he opened a bottle for legendary Burgundian Dominique Derain, whose advice was simply to not touch it for at least five years and revisit it then. Six years later, Francesco did just that and was very much pleased with the wine! Kevin tasted it while harvesting at Altura in 2021 and agreed."
