"The pure Albariño 2020 Muti is a joint venture between Rodrigo Méndez and Alberto Orte from Ole Imports and sold exclusively to them. It comes from a vineyard called Eira da Juapa, from a grape grower in Meis (San Salvador). It has some ripeness and honeyed notes despite being low in alcohol (12.8%) and having very high acidity (over eight grams, with a pH of 3.07). It's not as vibrant as other 2020s; in fact, it feels closer in style to some 2019s... "
Winemaker Notes:
"A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes orange zest, white flowers, candied ginger and dusty minerals, with a suggestion of fresh fig in the background. Stains the palate with fresh citrus and orchard fruit flavors that turn deeper and spicier with aeration. Closes stony and very long, with lingering florality and no rough edges. This intensely vibrant wine was aged in oak foudres."
