"From a cooler terroir in the northern part of the appellation, the 2020 Cornas Les Eygats is inky purple and gives up a powerful, full-bodied, concentrated style offering loads of minerality as well as blue fruit, pepper, pen ink, and graphite aromas and flavors. Reminding me of the 2010, this dense, rich, massive Cornas is going to require bottle age, but it’s insanely good."

"Dark purple. Vibrant, expansive aromas of spice-accented dark berries, minerals and candied flowers pick up suggestions of olive, vanilla and smoky bacon with air. Sappy and energetic in style, offering intense blackberry, bitter cherry, licorice, black pepper and mocha flavors that turn sweeter as the wine opens up. Finishes spicy, youthfully tannic and impressively long, leaving resonating floral and spice notes behind."
