"The 2020 Côte Rôtie La Chavarine is also brilliant and well worth seeking out. Loaded with ripe red and black fruits as well as peppery herbs, scorched earth, and smoked meat, it's full-bodied, has a round, lush mouthfeel, and building ripe tannins. I'd be happy with bottles in the cellar. It's going to benefit from short-term cellaring and have two decades or more over overall longevity."

"The 2020 is dynamic with red and black fruit, jolted by mouth-watering savory and spice. Sublimely textural, the vintage has that extra-special poof, that small but meaningful higher thread count. Superior Egyptian cotton, Côte-Rôtie?"
