"Giovanni Neri is the first line of Rosso di Montalcino dedicated to the founder of the estate. It comes from Sesta vineyard, purchased in 2017 and planted with 50-year-old Sangiovese vines. The wine ages in tonneaux for 15 months. Aromas of rose, violet, black berries, an almost blueberry scent, then earth and Parma violet in depth. Complex and well packed on the palate, it displays refined velvety tannins and long, delicate acidity. Cherry and violet on the finish."
Winemaker Notes:
"A lively and bright red color. The nose is stunned by the complexity of the 2020 vintage: strawberry and dark cherry dominate the rich bouquet of small red fruits. The palate is harmonic, elegant, and extremely balanced. The young tannins, well integrated with a perceivable acidity, display a great silky texture."
