"This wine is zesty, with aromas of red plum, molasses, dried herbs and vanilla on the nose. The flavors on the palate are pomegranate, Black cherry, clove, orange zest intertwined with dried bay leaf, bittersweet chocolate and supple tannins. Great example Zinfandel from a historic site. Decant and Enjoy with your favorite Burger."

"Noceto’s Zinfandel bottlings from the Original Grandpère Vineyard – a site planted over one hundred and fifty years ago and reputedly the oldest, still-producing Zin vineyard in the state – defy expectations for old-vine Amador County versions in that they are outside of the big and burly norm... a wine that does not rush headlong to ripeness but is, instead, a fairly mannerly and well-balanced look at the grape that will drink nicely with not-too-heavy entrees ranging from grilled sausages and lightly smoked pork chops to all sorts of pastas bathed in complex, tomato-based sauces."
