“The smoky leathery aromas suggest this wine suffers from some brett, which some may find hard to accept. Even so, this is a very concentrated, tannic wine, with a sweet attack cut by the firm acidity. Despite the high ripeness, there is no jamminess. The texture is svelte, and the finish, while leathery, is vibrant and long.”
Winemaker Notes:
"Ruby-red in color, aromas of plums and black fruits complement undertones of pepper, tobacco, licorice, and chocolate. On the palate, zesty acidity and velvety tannins make for an exquisite experience with this indigenous varietal."
