Winemaker Notes:
"One of the more recent vineyards acquired by Fabio Motta in 2012, this small vineyard is rich in clay with lots of stones on a gentle slope that allows for very gradual ripening. He considers this his finest vineyard as it shows the greatest attributes of Bolgheri DOC. Slow-ripening is especially important for growing great Merlot and with the addition of Syrah, the resulting wine is unmistakably Mediterranean in nature showing a gorgeous balance of cool fruit and spicy notes with some toasty aromas imparted by 1/3 new oak barrels."
