"Opaque ruby. Potent, smoke-accented aromas of dark fruit preserves, espresso, licorice and vanilla shows good focus and spicy lift. Sappy, penetrating and well-concentrated, offering juicy blackberry, bitter cherry and succulent herb flavors and a suggestion of spice cake. Seamless, sweet and persistent on the subtly tannic finish, leaving notes of mocha and candied flowers behind."
Winemaker Notes:
"Lots of body, well integrated acidity, well-rounded tannins providing volume and persistence on the palate. The licorice aromas are present on the aftertaste. Ideal for accompanying all kinds of meat, grilled meats, roast lamb, suckling pig, casseroles and Ideal with roast lamb, lamb chops, oxtail, suckling pig and mature cheese."
