"2018 was a fantastic year for growing grapes in Rutherford and Napa Valley as a whole. The 2018 Napa Valley Merlot is comprised mostly from grapes grown from the Estate, and it shows. The way the darker fruits meld in with the earthy, savory, coca powder notes is the signature of the Estate. As complex and dense as the wine smells it only get more audacious! The structure of this wine would rival that of Rutherford’s elite Cabernet Sauvignons, yet there is an energy and freshness that makes this wine even more intriguing. The layered complexities wafting from the glass and the tannins melting on the tongue cement the 2018 Merlot as one that has no rivals!
