"I was blown away by the quality of the 2018 Syrah Kelly's Cuvee, a more elegant, perfumed, seamless expression of this variety from Napa. Deep purple-hued with notes of darker berries, peppery herbs, iron, game, and violets, it has medium to full-bodied richness, silky tannins, and a great finish. Coming all from the Solari Vineyard, it's well worth seeking out and brings plenty of classic, Old World-like aromatics paired with pure California fruit."
Winemaker Notes:
This 100% Syrah from the Solari Vineyard in Calistoga shows ripe red fruit, red cherry, and raspberry candy aromas. The mid-palate is rich and beautifully balanced with natural acidity. The finishing tannins are super soft and elegant. Go back and check out the aromas again... and again!
