"Vivid golden-tinged straw-green. Minerals, white flowers, ripe apricot and almond paste on the captivating nose. Then very elegant and pure tangerine, green papaya and herbal flavors complicated by a strong almondy note emerging on the longer mineral-stained finish. Exuding outstanding clarity and cut, this is a knockout and very pure Friulano, the product of very old vines (greater than 70 years old) in Gramogliano."
Winemaker Notes:
"Distinctive variety perhaps best known for sweet wines. This dry example shows a distinctive oily, slightly phenolic texture, fresh acidity, very complex and interesting aromas and flavors (herbal hints, white peach, even a hint of marmalade). Powerful structure and majestic posture over a tannic architecture. Gentle, Violets aromas with an austere licorice finish. Full, Dense, with a lot of viscosity of licorice."
