"Although Hall is in St. Helena, they have produced a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap. A Châteaux Margaux-ish style of wine, with floral notes intermixed with blueberry, black raspberry, and blackcurrant, the wine has a hint of minerality that adds to the complex aromatics. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, the wine is still an infant but has at least three decades or more of upside potential. The finish is long, rich and reassuring. Cherry vanilla, leathery cedar and juicy plum combine around a lush, voluptuous mouthfeel of tension and tannin.
