"This is a blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Sangiovese. The 2017 Bolgheri Rosso Pievi is fermented in stainless steel and later aged in large oak casks. Although you do feel the summer heat here in terms of the saturated ripeness and concentration of the fruit, the wine is put together in a seamless fashion."
Winemaker Notes:
"Intense ruby red in color, the nose shoes bright persistent notes of red berries with aromas of violets and cigar box. On the palate, it shows the same level of freshness as the nose with ripe, medium strength tannings, gritty minerals an alcohol levels that are never excessive."
