"The 2016 Amazon della Valpolicella Classico is spicy, with hints of sour citrus giving way to cocoa, dusty rose and cloves. This is silky with a noticeable sweetness that is balanced by bright acidity, as ripe red berries and plums wash across the palate. It leaves violet florals, creamy dark chocolate and a touch of spice while finishing long and lightly structured. The 2016 is so drinkable; but at 17% ABV and 12.7 grams of sugar per liter, it’s a high-test Amazon, so enjoy it in moderation."

"Tommaso’s first goal every year is to make the best Amarone Classico possible. Because of Bussola’s demanding standards, production of each cuvée varies dramatically from vintage to vintage."
