"The 2015 Crozes-Hermitage Nouvelère is a promising barrel sample all coming from the Thalabert lieu-dit on the lower, pebbly soils of the Crozes region. Black cherries, currants, smoked herbs, and plenty of chocolate notes emerge from this full-bodied, rich, impressively concentrated effort. Still aging in roughly 10% new oak, it should drink nicely right out of the gate."
Winemaker Notes:
"Dark fruit is the core characteristic of this lively 100% Syrah wine. Slightly spicy, with raspberry and blackcurrant flavors, and lots of grip on the finish. This wine has had considerable time in the bottle, but the fruit is still fresh and intense."
