"This is our first Syrah from the hilly cool-climate Bennett Valley AVA of Sonoma. Made in an old world style with minimal intervention, fermented with native yeast, and aged on the lees in neutral barrels fro 15 months, allowing the grape to express its sense of place and vintage. This inky black Syrah expresses notes of cocoa nibs, coffee, and black olive leading to black currant, dates, and lingering soft tannins."
